WesternStockPhotos.com has been designed to provide affordable Rights Managed and Royalty Free images for advertising and editorial use. Rights Managed images or content is licensed for a specific predefined use and the usage fees are based on the usage needed. Royalty Free images or content is licensed for non-exclusive use of an image for a one-time flat fee.

Our western image library consists of high quality digital images created from film and RAW digital files. The images are available for licensing and purchasing with secure online payment processing and immediate downloading. Prints and framed prints are also available for purchasing. All images on this website are copyrighted and cannot be used without a usage license, payment, and agreement of usage terms. Image, image rights, and copyright remain sole and exclusive property of the creator, photographer, or artist. When purchasing an image license, you are purchasing a license to use the image for a specific usage and period of time.

Image Searching

Our western image collection has been designed to provide easy searchable access to our growing library of western photography. Keywords for each image are entered into a database on this site and are available by using the Keyword Search window at the top right of each window, or you can even perform a more advanced search by clicking on the Advanced Search also located at the top right of each window.

Keyword Search - Located at the top right of each window uses a "Match at least one keyword" for the quick search function. If you input "running horse" (without the quotes) into the quick search field, then the search function will return results for any media that contain either "running" OR "horse" in its properties. The system supports the "AND" and "NOT" operands in the quick search function by the use of the plus sign (+) and minus sign (-) respectively in front of the keywords.

• If you input "running + horse" (without the quotes) into the search field, the system will only return results for any media that contain both keywords "running" AND "horse" in its properties.

• If you input "running horse" (without the quotes) into the search field, the system will return results for any media that contain the keyword "running", but this media can't contain the keyword "horse" in its properties.

• Note: There must not be any spaces between the second keyword and the input operands (+) or (-) keywords.

Advanced Search - Located at the top right of each window, doesn't use the same algorithms as above. The Advanced Search allows you to choose what image properties to search for and how to use the keywords. It offers options allowing you to choose which operand you want to use for your searches. There are three options available.

• Match at least one keyword
  The system will return results for any media that contain either one of the input keywords in its properties.

• Match all keywords
  The system will only return results for any media that contain all input keywords in its properties.

• Match exact phrase
  The system will only return results for any media that contains the exact input keyword phrase in its properties.

Payment Method

Our image library provides easy payment with PayPal for image licenses and prints. You will need to tell our shopping cart which payment method you would like to use to pay for your purchases. By default the payment method is PPP (pay per purchase).  Using this payment method you will need to pay during the checkout process. Other payment methods are coming soon including Subscriptions and Packages, which will be available in the Payment Method drop down menu. You need to purchase these options before you are able use them. They can be purchased through the Products page, also coming soon.

• Duration Subscription - Coming Soon
  Subscribing to this subscription type will allow you to purchase any media that are available for this subscription prior to its expiration date.  The expiration date is calculated based on the date that you subscribe.

• Credit Subscription - Coming Soon
  Subscribing to this subscription type will allow you to purchase any media that are available for this subscription if its credit cost is less than or equal to your remaining credits. The subscription credits are deducted from your account each time you use it for your purchase.

• Package Subscription - Coming Soon
  Subscribing to this subscription type will allow you to purchase any media that are available for this subscription. You can only use this subscription for a one time purchase. We allow only you to checkout your order when the subscribed package contents and your current shopping cart contents are an exact match.

Select the subscription type as desired and click on the Continue button to complete the purchase. Once the order is completed the subscription will display in the Payment Method section, which will allow you to select it as a payment method for your purchases.

The Lightbox

The Lightbox is YOUR collection of images. You may add up to 18 images to your lightbox. If you wish to purchase an image that is in your lightbox, click on the thumbnail to view the enlarged image. Select the items that you want to purchase and click on the "add to cart" button.

Shopping Cart

The shopping cart displays your order details, if you wish to delete an image from your order before proceeding to checkout, simply hit the remove link on the right side.

Checking Out

You will need to login to checkout your order. If you are new to the site please complete the registration form to create a username and password. This information is stored, so that you can return to the site to make future purchases, and so we can review and process your orders.

My Account

This page shows your order history and also allows you to download any instant download orders. 

Image Samples and Comps

Image samples or Comps are available, these image downloads do contain watermarks, and are available for mockup and layout purposes only. Comps are solely for layout evaluation to determine what size and usage license is needed. Image comps can be downloaded on the image detail pages by clicking on the Download Sample. You must register and login in to download sample images. Once a license is purchased for a particular image, you will then have access to a un-watermarked version.

   1. Comps are available for mockup and layout purposes only.
   2. Comps are solely for layout evaluation to determine what size and usage license is needed.
   3. Comps cannot be copied, published, distributed, or displayed without a license.
   4. Sample images or comps must be destroyed after 60 days of the download if a license is not purchased.

Royalty Free Images

We have three Royalty Free Image sizes available for immediate download after purchase. Instant image downloads are available as soon as the usage agreement is read, understood, and payment for the usage of the image is paid. Once an image license is purchased, you can download the image in a zip file.

Prints for Sale

Prints can also be ordered from this site. Prints cannot be reproduced, copied, or resold and are available for display only. We offer many sizes from 4x6 inch prints to 16x20 inch prints, with a choice of matte finish or glossy finish. Please check the glossy finish if you would like glossy, all prints default to matte if nothing is selected.

Product Return Policy

If for any reason you are not satisfied with a print order, we will refund 100% of your order upon its return to us in the condition that it was received. Return shipping charges are your responsibility. You must contact us prior to any return, and we will give you specific return instructions. If your order is delivered damaged, it is your responsibility to contact the shipper. IMPORTANT: Save all packing materials. Failure to do so can cause the shipper to deny your claim.
